James hosted a virtual “Celebration of Life” for my mum who passed away during the pandemic. James helped us create an event for well over 150 people, logging in on 70 different devices, from 3 continents and 6 time zones. We live in Vancouver, Canada, but this event allowed all mum’s relatives in England to join. Thanks to James’ knowledge of the technology and experience hosting these events, he turned what could have been just another painful, clunky zoom meeting, into a seamless professional event. James was very proactive, listening to my vision for the event, clearly setting out what information he needed and providing very clear instructions. On the day of the event, he put everyone at ease and guided the meeting with just the right tone. One presenter had tech difficulties 15 minutes before the start and James came up with a solution that allowed her to participate. At the end James created breakout rooms that let everyone chat and share stories. The feed back from family and friends has been amazing. Everyone was so pleased to have been involved, especially family overseas who would not have been able to come to an in-person memorial. It was a wonderful send off for my mum, and best of all for me, on the day of the event I did not have to worry about anything but my speech.
