When I was faced with a difficult presentation and trying to find the right balance of information and entertainment to a technical audience, James’s skills proved to be invaluable. He was able to provide the guidance and motivation to allow me to deliver a very successful presentation. Highly recommended by me.
I hired James to coach and train six individuals at TLC with a diverse range of responsibilities, but all of whom needed to grow their confidence and style in situations of client interaction. The results were great, and each attendee benefitted immensely from the workshop on many levels. I would not hesitate to employ James again and to recommending his services to individuals or business owners who see the value in growing their people. The session was highly organised, professional and personalised.
My experience of James has been a consumate professional who imparts his knowledge with generosity and enthusiasm. His training provides valuable critique and coaches the best out of individuals. I would recommend James to any orgainisation including academic institutions who wish for their people to deliver improved results.
James is the most effective Public Speaking Coach I have ever worked with. His reassuring coaching skills and techniques combined with his own natural style quickly enables you to have a positive approach to public speaking. He ensures you are able to deliver with a high level of confidence that will have an enjoyable and lasting impact on your audience.
The moment I saw and heard James running a trade show I hired him to host our most important event of the year, the LS symposium. He is a fast learner and acted as if he had been in our industry for years and he performed a great job of keeping the deligates from getting carried away with the time. He ran the event in a very professional way, making a great connection with all the speakers and most importantly with the audience.
I have known James for more years than I care to mention. I have also employed him over a 5 year period and continue to hire him regularly on a consultancy agreement. He is trustworthy, reliable and not frightened of a hard days work. However, what sets him apart from the average is his vast researched knowledge and his personable style, with which he never fails to engage with his audience.
As a longstanding member of the Revels Committee and vice chair, can I thank you for your absolutely brilliant service as MC for our Peppard Revels Jubilee Ball in early June.
It was by no means an easy job. You had to control a crowd of nearly 500 revellers in a marquee over a programme lasting 6 hours. You had to communicate information to keep everybody safe and aware. You had to phase the collection of food for 48+ tables from the kitchen to the marquee with professional and volunteer help – and the clearing of those tables. Then there was the dancing, the raffle, the bar and the fireworks all under your domain and you had to remain charming and entertaining throughout!
It was brilliantly done with a firm hand with lots of humour – sometimes not easy given the inadequacies of the PA system.
Many thanks and I hope you consider doing it again.
It took over 30 years of running the Vintage Festival to get James in. All we can say is, we wish we had done it sooner. An MC to fit any occasion, James injected personality, clarity and professionalism to our event to the benefit of our 4000 customers, 80 producers and us.
Coaching and Mentoring
I got to know Rebecca in her previous work at EY (Ernst & Young) where she invited me to speak at a meeting focused on G20-W20. Rebecca was instrumental in the creation of my organisation iamtheCODE and genuinely helped us with our strategy and mentoring processes. She gave us her time and really supported us. I was so impressed with her professionalism and vision to bring digital transformation into the lives of women and girls. Her drive to accelerate the power of women in business, government and entrepreneurship attracted me to work with her on many occasions. I highly recommend Rebecca as a mentor.

When the 30% Club decided to kick off its highly successful cross company mentoring scheme five years ago, Rebecca was appointed as the programme lead to work with a small group of our corporate members to design and implement the pilot of the scheme. She demonstrated her strategic yet practical approach by developing with our members a programme that was able to scale and sustain over time through the use of technology but also by building trust based relationships through her well honed influencing and leadership skills. The programme was founded on a reciprocal model with all time given by company leads, mentors and mentees on a pro-bono basis. What makes it a unique programme in the corporate space is the breadth and volume of women in the corporate pipeline who have now received high quality mentoring with 2346 mentees and mentors and 107 organisations having taken part. Rebecca was instrumental in getting the programme off the ground and ensuring it was built for success.
I worked with Rebecca at EY in her capacity as the global co-lead on EY’s Women Fast.forward. In particular, we collaborated on EY’s Entrepreneurial Winning Women and it’s launch across EMEIA as well as the 30% Club cross company mentoring scheme aimed at mid career women.
The programme today has seen over 2000 female mentees benefit from a cross company mentor from some of the biggest brands in the FTSE100 and it runs in largely the same way as the model established by Rebecca five years ago
She is a pleasure to work with and should be really proud of the lasting legacy she created.
Rebecca is a great strategic thinker, innovator and collaborator. Her passion for diversity, in particular women in the work place is evident in the connections she makes and innovation she brings to her work. Rebecca is an inspiration to those she works with. She is always “in the know” and has good ideas that she sees through into actions to create positive change around all her work.

I worked with Rebecca for a number of years and watched her knowledge and experience grow in the Diversity and Inclusion space, particularly with gender. I’ve seen Rebecca develop and execute high profile, successful cross company and market facing programmes on a ‘shoe string’, use her EI to influence multiple stakeholders at different levels of our organisation and develop and deliver innovative solutions, often working cross culturally. She is tenacious, resilient and best of all, can deliver all of the above with an infectious sense of humour.
I have worked with many, many leaders throughout my 50+ year professional career, and I can say without any reservations whatsoever that Rebecca stands in the upper echelons of those who have inspired me. Her knowledge, expertise, energy and generosity – not to mention her joie de vivre – as she connects like minds and resources is the antithesis of traditional corporate gridlock. Her innovative and entrepreneuring mind, especially in regard to the economic empowerment of women, is second only to her ability to put those innovative thoughts into action, opening doors and creating opportunities for women worldwide. It is both a pleasure and a privilege to work with such a consummate and compassionate professional.
I started working with Rebecca three years ago as EY and Chatham House embarked on a collaborative journey with W(women)20 to tackle gender inclusiveness in G20 countries. I was immediately impressed by her profound knowledge of the issues to be addressed as well as the strategic thinking, energy, commitment and passion she brought to the project. She is wonderful to work with; a great, reliable, supportive and responsive partner who is an incredible asset for the project. I sincerely hope to be able to continue working closely with Rebecca on the Gender and Growth Initiative for years to come!

I was able to benefit first-hand from Rebecca’s very impressive professional skills and extensive network in the world of diversity when we set out to organise an event for some of our senior female clients in April 2016. She helped us to 1) decide on the appropriate format, 2) identify potentially interesting and relevant subjects for an audience of women in the financial industry and 3) short-list relevant guest speakers. She even committed to stepping in as back-up when logistics threatened the on-time arrival of our designated speaker! Our networking evening was a great success, and Rebecca’s contribution immeasurable. She has a wealth of ideas and a depth of connections which I would gladly make more use of in the future.
Rebecca’s understanding of the diversity space, her commitment to moving the agenda forward and her brilliant problem solving ability make her a joy to work with. I’ve met few people in this sector with Rebecca’s depth of knowledge and yet she never stops seeking out new ideas and interesting voices. She completely understands the issues around gender diversity and she’s committed to solving them but she also understands how business objectives and structures can both hinder and help this. Working with her is both a joy and an amazing learning experience.
